The world champions France just defeated a desperate German side, searching for a win on the big stage for a while. The match in Munich ended with the scoreline France 1, Germany 0.

In the 20th minute, German defender Mats Hummels scored an unfortunate own goal while trying to stop the deadly cross.

Overall, Varane and Kimbempe were solid at the back meanwhile was Kante winning every ball in-sight as usual. Pogba’s midfield play and long passes were good too.

Meanwhile, Germany should really improve on finishing as they don’t have that clinical number 9. The energy was there in the second half but it was not enough.
