Brazil’s strong squad and why coach Tite snubbed Jesus?

Gabriel Jesus, currently one of the best strikers in the Premier League has been smashing tons of goals for Arsenal. He has already made 7 goal contributions in 7 matches in the EPL.

Despite having the best time of his career, he was not selected for the World Cup squad. Jesus had to face some serious competition from his fellow countrymen. Brazil’s national team coach, Tite decided to snub Jesus and included Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino and Richarlison as the center forward.

Similarly, other players included in the squad were Neymar, Rodrygo, Antony, Vinicius Jr., and Pedro.

What did Jesus say?

It is obvious that a player with the caliber of Gabriel Jesus won’t be happy if he gets snubbed from the national team. However, Jesus’ response is quite different.

In an interview with ESPN Brazil, Jesus told that he respects the coach’s decision as well as other players. And he would work hard to get back to the team.

Jesus told,

“I respect the coach’s decision a lot, I respect Tite, the entire staff, the entire commission. As I said, I’m Brazilian, I’ll always root for the team. And I also respect the other players, who have a lot of quality. I’ll keep doing my best to have the opportunity again.”
