Man City moves to Second after narrow victory against Leicester

Man City moves to second position after a win against Leicester. Thanks to the only goal by Bernardo Silva. Leicester offered tough opposition but that is not enough to stop the City side.

Man City started an unchanged team for the third game in a row. With this win, Man City moved to 2nd place as Spurs lost to Crystal Palace and Man United thrashed Newcastle earlier. Currently, Man United holds first place with a gap of 1 point.

Man City dominant the game but Leicester gave a top competition. The first half ended with a 0-0. The Foxes have started the second half excellently. Vardy is played through and brilliantly rounds Ederson while under pressure before slotting home but then he is flagged for off-side.

In the 61st minute of the game, Cancelo gathered the ball after a poor kick from Schmeichel and he sees his low shot blocked but it falls kindly for Bernardo followed to tap home.

After conceding the goal at home, Leicester looks threatening. The introduction of former Blue Iheanacho has galvanized Leicester and he had been a handful since his introduction. But foxes couldn’t past Ederson.

What next for City and Leicester in

Man City will face RB Leipzig at home on September 18 in the Champions League and Leicester will play Napoli at home on September 17 in Europa League.
