South Korea’s HEROIC Performance against Portugal with LATE COMEBACK advance them to the Knockout of World Cup

Son Heung Min and Korea completed a late comeback in a win against Portugal to advance to the Knockout stage of the World Cup.

South Korea became another South Asian team to proceed to the Round of 16 after Japan after beating Portugal on the last day of the Group stage match.

Fernando Santo rested almost all important players from Portugal as they have already proceeded to the next round. Portugal started a match with an early goal from Ricardo Horta in the 5th minute. However, Kim Young Gwon levelled the scoreline in the 27th minute.

The game was equal from both sides until the 90th minute. However, Son’s incredible run and assistance with a goal from Hwang Hee-chan inspired Korea a comeback.

with the win, Korea climbed to the second position of the group with 4 points while Uruguay stands third as they are knocked out.
