The former Arsenal captain Alexandre Lacazette who is currently at his boyhood club Olympique Lyonnais is set to miss the pre-season match against Feyenoord after being stung by wasps.
Lacazette sustained the attack alongside his teammate Moussa Dembélé while they were in the Dutch forest. However, Dembele was stung by only a few Wasps and is now already recovered as he was training with the Lyon team on 21 July 2022.
However, Laca was unlucky as he was stung by dozens of Wasps and is still waiting for his full recovery. Meanwhile, Lyon’s team is suffering for a number of reasons and injury is the main reason. Maxence Caquere and new signing Corentin Tolisso are on the sidelines as well.
Prior to Arsenal’s £45 million investment in him in July 2017, Alexandre Lacazette spent 14 years at Lyon, rising through the ranks to become one of the best strikers in France. He has made 203 appearances in Ligue 1 and scored an astounding 100 goals.
